Fish for salmon, halibut and trout. Beachcombing for ivory and glass floats; and see the most magnificent glaciers in the world. A great adventure is to fly the west coast from Dillingham to Barrow.
Customized trips can be exclusively fishing, flight-seeing, photography, or all of these. We start from Anchorage. Most prices for 2012 will start at $1400 per day, per person, depending on lodging and the number of people.

pictureDillingham to Barrow

(June, July-August, 7 or more days) This flying safari is for 2 people--one each in a Piper Super Cub. We start in Anchorage and fly the west coast of Alaska looking for walrus ivory, wale bones, photographing Musk Oxen, and visiting Eskimo villages. On the return we come back through the Brooks Range and past Mt. McKinley. This trip requires a minimum of 7 days. Some camping is required.

pictureThe Alaska Peninsula

We fly to Bear Lake Lodge via scenic Lake Clark Pass, Lake Illiamna, and Port Moller. Bear Lake offers more than 40 different wildflowers, a walrus herd that we can get close to, beach combing, active volcanoes, and off-the-doorstep fishing for Arctic Char and salmon. There are many Brown Bears and caribou in the area. Whales and moose can be seen as well. The accommodations and food are very good. This is my favorite place in Alaska to take people.

pictureThe Wrangells

From Anchorage we will fly over Prince William Sound to Middleton Island in the North Pacific. We'll do some beach combing and view seabirds and marine wildlife such as otters and seals. After a picnic lunch we fly over the Bering Glacier and the Bagley Ice Field (the largest in the world). We end up in the historical village of McCarthy in the heart of the Wrangells. These are the most spectacular mountains in Alaska with 17 of the largest peaks in North America.

We will stay at the Kennicott Lodge overlooking a beautiful glacier. You can hike on a glacier, ice climb if you want to, explore the Kennicott national Historic Site, and visit McCarthy. The return trip to Anchorage is through the Chugach Mountains. This is the most spectacular flight in Alaska!

All trips start and end in Anchorage. Costs are all inclusive, including flying, lodging, meals, and guiding. Weather is sometimes a factor that can modify an itinerary.

We also specialize in single person Super Cub safaris of Alaska. We can take 2 people with 2 planes. You will have opportunities to beach comb, fish, and close up photography of bears, walrus, and other wildlife. This is the ultimate Alaskan experience!
